Depression: Signs & Symptoms
If you are experiencing five (or more) of the following symptoms for at least two weeks, you may be suffering from depression:
• Persistent feelings of sadness, emptiness, or irritability • Loss of interest or pleasure in life activities • Sleep disturbance • Decreased energy or fatigue • Appetite disturbance • Difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions • Feelings of guilt or worthlessness • Recurrent thoughts of suicide or death, suicide plans, or attempts.
